We – the Rustemi family – have been running Hotel Am Schönenbühl since early 2025 with a lot of heart, hospitality, and a keen sense for what matters most: comfort, cleanliness, and lived sustainability.
As Speicherers with roots abroad, we combine the best of two worlds: the openness and warmth of an international family – and a love for the local culture, landscape, and lifestyle of the Appenzell region.
The hotel remains what it has always been: a place to arrive, relax, and feel at home. With small changes and fresh ideas, we aim to make your stay even more inviting – without losing the unique Appenzell charm that has always defined this house.
